Opening Hours

The Prague Castle complex comprises several buildings, each with its own opening hours.

Prague Castle’s opening hours vary according to the seasons. 

It opens at 6 am and closes at 10 pm throughout the year.

However, the historical buildings of Prague Castle adhere to their schedules:

In Summer (1 April to 31 October), the opening times are from 9 am to 5 pm.

In Winter (1 November to 31 March), they open at 9 am and close at 4 pm.

The historical structures of Prague Castle include Golden Lane, Prague Castle Gardens, the Old Royal Palace, and St. George Basilica. 

The castle grounds, including the gardens, are also open from 6 am to 10 pm daily.

The St. Vitus Cathedral, located within the castle complex, is open from 9 am to 4 pm on the weekdays. 

On weekends the opening times are from 9 am to 5 pm.

We recommend checking the specific opening hours of the buildings you wish to visit before planning your trip to ensure that they will be open during your visit.

And, if you want to experience these ancient structures, you must visit Prague Castle during its operating hours.

Note: The Prague Castle complex remains closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, and Christmas Day.
